MONSTROUS MASK REVIEWS: Death Skull Mask in UV Orange by Zagone Studios

I have been a fan of skull masks ever since Don Post Studios released their vinyl skull so many years ago. When I started getting masks from Zagone Studios I quickly realized that over the years they have had some amazing skull masks!

This skull mask, the Death Skull Mask in UV Orange, is new for the 2021 season. What they did is take, in my opinion, their best skull mask and painted it in orange ultraviolet-reflective paint. What drew me to this mask initially was that it was an orange skull, perfect for the Halloween season. When I first saw it I didn’t even realize it was one of their UV masks which just makes it even better!

This photo does not do this mask justice!

Add to that the fact that it is a sock mask that allows the lower jaw to move with your own makes it a perfect mask to wear to a Halloween party or to use in a yard haunt. Like I have mentioned in other reviews I have done of Zagone masks, these are perfect for wearing for long periods of time not only because of their great vision holes but because you can actually breathe really well in them!

The quality, as always, is second to none and this mask is made to last. The latex is just the right thickness and it is extremely comfortable to wear. One of my favorite aspects of this sculpt is the missing teeth with fun holes where the teeth used to be.

Zagone Studios has a special place in my heart as the first Halloween mask I ever bought was one of theirs, the Shrunken Head, from the mid-1980s. I did stop collecting masks for awhile but now that I am again, I am finding that I have more Zagone masks than any other companies and I know why, they are truly the best.

They are also the first company, I believe, that started showing some of their 2021 line just days after Halloween of 2020. This truly shows their dedication to the business and I love that they are re-releasing so many of the classics that I bought when I first started collecting. If you look back at their history, so many things have remained the same. The quality is top notch. Breathing and seeing is very important in their designs. It is family run and all masks are made right here in the United States. They are also very nice people who genuinely care about their customers. If you talk to them you will know what I mean.

So once again I cannot recommend one of their masks enough. This truly is a fun and versatile design. If you would like to purchase this mask, just go HERE. Make sure to check out my other entries in my MONSTROUS MASK REVIEWS series.
