THE BASEMENT BOOK SHELF: “Mack Maloney’s Haunted Universe”
OK, I have a confession. Prior to reading this book I had never heard of Mack Maloney or that he was a host of a nationally-syndicated radio show called “Mack Maloney’s Military X-Files.” Since I have always been a fan of everything from flying saucers, cryptids and ghosts, this book came up as a recommendation one day on Amazon, based on my search criteria.
Believe it or not, what drew me to the book initially was its amazing cover! On a page full of books on similar topics, this one stood out! It was like it was calling me, to own this volume. Let’s be honest, many of the books out their on these subjects have boring covers; this one is everything but.
There is just so much to like about this book. First off, it covers a wide variety of topics. There are hundreds of stories about ghosts, haunted airplanes, UFOs, unexplained noises and so many more. The stories are all short too, anything from a paragraph to a few pages of text.

If you like to read before bed, as I do, or if you have a short attention span, this is perfect as you can stop easily at any point to go to sleep or move onto something else. There’s no having to try to finish a chapter that may still have twenty pages to go. It’s one of those books that you can pick up at any time, at any place, and read some stories. There are thirty-three chapters in all, broken down into many short stories.
Despite its size of 304 pages, this book is an extremely fast read and well worth the money. Don’t forget to read the other blogs in my BASEMENT BLU-RAY REVIEW series. To order your own copy of this book, just click on the image below.
